About the Group
____________________________________
The APPG was established in 2025 after Parliamentarians and patient advocacy groups identified a major gap in political focus on PCOS, despite it being a common and often debilitating condition. Until now, there has been no dedicated forum in Westminster to explore the issues facing those living with PCOS or to drive policy action.
The Group’s goal is to drive change by raising awareness of PCOS amongst parliamentarians, policy-makers and the public, to increase recognition of PCOS as a complex, lifelong condition, generating policy solutions to improve the lives of those living with PCOS.
The aim is to ensure that people affected by PCOS can access timely diagnosis, effective treatment options, and are supported to make informed choices about their health, while always being treated with dignity and respect.
As well as providing a forum for MPs and Peers, the Group aims to bring clinicians, patients, and other relevant stakeholders to Westminster to discuss PCOS and related issues.
On this website you can find out more about the group’s work going forward as well as how best to stay in touch with the group.
